Wyss&Lila has officially opened its new locomotive workshop in Verona, Wyss&Lila Italia S.R.L., strengthening its maintenance capabilities at one of Italy’s busiest freight and passenger corridors. Positioned along the Brenner route, the new service center enables faster response times, improved fleet availability, and local support where operational reliability is most critical.
The opening comes at a key moment for the Italian rail sector, which is undergoing a major transformation driven by large-scale investments in infrastructure, fleet modernization, and digitalization.
The brand-new Verona locomotive workshop is designed to support efficient and reliable maintenance operations, featuring:
- Two light maintenance tracks
- One heavy with maintenance pit and roof access
- Indoor crane enabling overhaul and component handling
With this setup, Wyss&Lila expands its ability to support operators with fast turnaround times, consistent performance, and high availability of rolling stock.
